Tuesday mornings for six weeks.

Start date: Tuesday 23rd September - Tuesday 28th October Time: 9.30am - 12.30pm Cost: £260 (includes all materials)

This six-week course will cover foundational skills and the main principles of water colour painting, along with some more contemporary and fun techniques.                    

You will discover;

·         How to use different brushes to create different marks and washes, and fundamental techniques such as wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry

·         How watercolour paint and paper interact with each other                       

·  Tone and mark-making

·         Composition

·         Further techniques such as sgraffito, salt, resists, and masking fluid as well as other tips and tricks to make your paintings come alive

·         Create a series of small sketches, then go on to create a finished painting

·         Simple colour theory and mixing, as well as layering                                                                                                                            

·  Enjoy the spontaneity of this wonderful medium!
