The Colour Factory has been located at The Lodge for over 15 years, during this time it has been loved by so many and used so regularly to bring art to the community. This has meant it is difficult to maintain but we have made the absolute most of this time we have had to bring you all a fresh and new look.
This would not have been possible without help from some very special people.
Firstly – Marcus Swalwell.
Marcus is our very own guardian angel and number one supporter! He has been on our steering committee for a number of years but these last few weeks he really has gone above and beyond! He has given countless days of brain power and also hard labour! Fitting kitchens, floors, a million dump runs! He’s helped us with the garden and given us our very own flag pole to hoist The Colour Factory flag.
We are all just so grateful for his time, contagious positive attitude and want to say the biggest thank you!
Secondly – Winchester Round Table
We are extremely thankful to Sam Farzam, the chairman of Winchester’s Round Table and his men Steve, Niko, Ben, Johnny Alex, Victor and the whole team who volunteered their help with our garden. Last Sunday they came raring to go, laying a new patio and fixing our garden beach hut. Fuelled by tea and cake they worked so hard to make our garden safe and secure for our students arrival.
Thank you to all of you!
